Global Wood Rework

Global Wood Rework was launched in 2012 AD with the aim of stopping as much timber as possible going into the Wellington landfill.

GWR makes home and garden items from every wood - including treated & tanalised pine, two of the worst offenders - that everyone can use.

10,000 tonnes of wood goes into the Wellington landfill annually, creating more methane than the atmosphere can cope with. Much of this is needless waste, as the timber is sometimes in excellent condition. Why are we destroying an excellent resource, while creating yet another environmental problem? GWR offers a solution: have a table, or a bookshelf, an outdoor garden bench, a folding clothes drying rack (to replace the awful metal variety) - and help change the world.
