Kokako is a locally owned Fair Trade Organic Coffee Roaster and specialist caterer. Our main kitchen and roastery is in Eden Terrace and we also have a café in Parnell.

Our products can be found across Auckland in cafes, deli’s, gourmet & organic supermarkets & corporate offices.

KOKAKO ORGANIC COFFEE

Kokako was established as Auckland’s first dedicated organic coffee roaster in 2001. Since then we’ve perfected our roasting systems and green bean selection processes to ensure that we provide consistent quality organic coffee beans.

Kokako source only the highest quality Arabica beans from the worlds most reputable estates and because their organic they’re free of any unnatural fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides or fungicides.

We have a strict policy of only sourcing Fair Trade coffee beans which are certified organic at source. We are proud to be accredited as Aucklands only dedicated Fair Trade Coffee Roaster. Kokako is also a proud member of the New Zealand Coffee Roasters Association – www.nzcra.org.nz

Our blends:

We roast three specialist Fair Trade Organic blends available in 200g retail packs or 500g and 1kg bags. We can grind to suit your requirements – filter, plunger, espresso or whole.

Aotea is our house blend – balanced and smooth bodied.
Rangatira is our robust, earthy & full bodied blend based around Mexican & Colombian origins
Kokako Decaf is a blend of origins and 100% chemical free using the Swiss Water Decaffeination process.

KOKAKO GRAB & GO MEALS & CATERING

We produce a range of salads, bakes, soups, slices and muffins using only the best ingredients. The majority of our ingredients are organic and where possible we source from local New Zealand suppliers. We only use free range eggs and use spelt flour in our baked goods.

Our Grab & Go meals are all hand made and ingredients are chosen for their low fat content and nutritional value. Our containers are 100% recyclable and we provide a full ingredient and nutritional analysis for each item in the Grab & Go range (available on our website).

KOKAKO CAFE

Kokako café is the urban heart of our business. You’ll find fresh flowers on every table, 1960’s design books holding our menu and sit amongst recycled timber walls.

Here you can order an expertly made Kokako Organic espresso, choose from a wide range of organic teas or order a freshly squeezed juice or smoothie. We have an extensive brunch and cabinet menu and can accommodate your needs whether you’re after a quick coffee and muffin to take away or a relaxed Sunday morning breakfast.

Kokako Café is located at 492 Parnell Road; the intersection of Ayr St and Domain Drive. The café is open seven days from 7am weekdays and 8am weekends.
