The Conference Centre is committed to being an environmentally sustainable 4 star leading venue. The Conference Centre is continually taking measures to reduce its carbon footprint. It aims to ensure that all of its events are successful as well as sustainable, each event uses considerable amounts of resources its aim is to provide delegates the experience they expect but not at the expense of the environment or local community.


The Conference Centre is working towards its Qualmark Environmental award.

In September 2008, The Conference Centre carried out its first waste audit, in order to further evaluate what it can reduce, reuse, recycle & recover. From this first successful audit, waste audits will now be a regular activity to ensure continual improvement and reduction in resources.

The Conference Centre’s view of environmental sustainability is that it is a long term journey of continual improvement, identifying opportunities and implementing strategies for efficiency. It hopes that it can educate its clients & suppliers along the way to look at their own environmental position.
